This project implented by the Women’s Network of Croatia aims to strengthen legal protections and improve support for women victims of violence. Key goals include advocating for a special law on gender-based violence, separate from misdemeanors, and developing a sustainable financing model for non-institutional shelters and counseling services.
The network also seeks to standardize service quality, ensuring adequate funding and maintaining user confidentiality. Activities include public advocacy, collaboration with government institutions, and organizing meetings to shape a supportive framework for non-institutional services aligned with GREVIO recommendations on combating violence against women.
