Association of Roma women Osvit empowers survivors to break out from the violence, especially Roma women; works with institutions and decision-makers on the development and implementation of national and local policies to combat and prevent violence against women; and provides a hotline service in Romani and Serbian languages.
This project offers direct support to survivors through a 24/7 hotline, psychological and/or legal support (pro bono representation in courts); campaigns for raising public awareness and preventing GBV; advocates on behalf of discriminated Roma women before court, police, social service, health care, schools, and NGO’s, seeking equal access to public services.
