Nova Zena

In response to rising femicides in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly following a high-profile case in Gradačac, this project by the association NOVA ŽENA aims to combat gender-based violence in rural areas. It provides training for 120 young people to recognize violent communication and self-defense classes for 90 young women.

Additionally, awareness on gender violence prevention will be raised through football matches featuring thematic messaging. The initiative targets gender stereotypes and promotes safer environments for women by engaging both young men and women, especially in areas with deeply rooted traditional roles and religious influences.
