Brave sisters

Abortion is a crucial women’s right, and its prohibition poses serious health risks. The Brave Sisters Shelter aims to enhance access to reproductive health services for vulnerable women, addressing structural gender-based violence. Many women face barriers when seeking abortions, particularly those from rural areas, migrants, or victims of violence.

The project includes creating a safe space in Zagreb for women to recover post-procedure and for volunteer training. A conference in September 2025 will celebrate the network’s five-year anniversary, featuring experts discussing women’s reproductive rights and combating misinformation on abortion-related risks
